Dr. Amir Mané, President
|
|
Dr. Amir Mané received his Ph D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where, first as a student and then as a Visiting Professor, he studied, taught, and conducted research in the areas of cognitive Psychology and Human Factors.

In 1986 Dr. Mané joined Bell Laboratories. In his capacity as a System Engineer he specified requirements for computer systems that are deployed by major Telecommunications Companies in support of their customer service.

In 1991 he shifted his focus into research of Human Computer Interaction and designed innovative services that made use of Voice Technology. He continued his work on Advanced Speech Services as the Director of Applied Research at Telcordia Technologies, where he also provided his consulting services to several of the largest US carriers.

In 2000 he secured Venture funding from Pequot Capital and founded Telelogue, a company that became the leader in voice automation of Directory Assistance, and was acquired by ScanSoft.

In 2004 Dr. Mané founded Voice Advantage, offering consulting and professional services for enterprises that wish to make use of Voice Technology.

Dr. Mané is a regular speaker at industry events; he presented at
conferences held by AVIOS, CHI, Human Factors Society, HFIT, IEEE,
Pelorus group, SpeechTek, Telecom, TVUI, VOX, V-World and World
Research Group. He was a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for
Speech Technology magazine, and authored numerous technical
and research papers and book chapters. Dr. Mané was awarded six
patents by the USPTO.
Dr. Mané works closely with a network of highly qualified
professionals who bring additional expertise in Voice Technology.
